My latest work has been quite varied ranging from Lingerie and sports foot wear for Hitech to YBS portraits. All these shoots present different creative challenges but all were a joy to work on.
Our Lingerie shoot was shot on location at a Stately Home out in Cheshire. I was more than happy to find it was extremely well heated ! as this could of been our undoing if we could’nt keep the Models warm and happy. The location was a little shabby in places but overall, gave us the look we were after.
Power was a bit of an issue ! as the majority of plug sockets looked as if they should be on the Antique Road show, I had’nt actually seen this type before in Britain !. This was’nt helped by the complete lack of any decent day light flooding in. Instead we had to light with rain/snow protected lighting from outside to create the moody pools of light we were after. I think the end results made everything worth the effort.
The Hitech shoot was done for their New footwear educationals. These were all shot in the studio using point source lighting and a lot of macro work. Water is always a challenge to work with, but I have a few little tricks up my sleeve when shooting this kind of subject matter. This comes from many shoots for Berghaus, The North Face and Karrimor over the years.
Fianlly the YBS (Yorkshire Building Society) shoot was predominantly an excercise in relaxing the client, (sstaff of the YBS) enough to get the best out of them in a portrait, as they were all the subject matter for the Ads themselves. I enjoy this as I love meeting New people all the time and finding a little bit about everybody I shoot
